A Toronto complex that’s being built for occupation in 2021 will house a new technology hub. Thomson Reuters, the multinational information services company, will spend about $100 million on this project and has agreed to build the new Duncan House at 19 Duncan Street.
Allied Properties REIT and Westbank have begun construction of a new building that will integrate a heritage structure. The complex will have retail space and 462 rental residential units.
Thomson Reuters announced last year that it would add 400 high-tech jobs within a two-year span for the purpose of exploring new technologies in machine learning, cloud computing and big-data analytics.
