What will it take for Kawhi Leonard to stay in Toronto and the Raptors? A multi-million-dollar penthouse might just do it.
Heralded as the new hero of the nation, Kawhi Leonard has led the Raptors to the NBA 2019 Finals, a first time in franchise history.
After sending the Bucks home with a 100-94 win, the Raptors move onto the finals against The Golden State Warriors.
While the Raptors continue to play in a seven-game series against the Warriors, the question at large is whether or not Leonard will stay with the Raptors. Leonard is expected to enter the free agent market on July 1st.
The city however has been rallying for Kawhi to re-sign. Campaigns like “Ka’wine & Dine” are calling for Toronto establishments to “Wine’m, Dine’m, Let’s re-sign’m”.
Simon Mass, CEO of the Condo Store Realty Inc. has gone on record to offer an even sweeter deal, a free penthouse to stay in some of Toronto’s distinguished addresses.
“We are throwing everything we have at The Condo Store to show Kawhi how much we appreciate his efforts to date and his future commitment to Canada’s only NBA franchise,” says Mass.
Leonard will get to choose between penthouse condos at the Four Seasons, St. Regis, Ritz Carlton, and Shangri-La Residences. The penthouses range from $2 million to $5 million.
